Privacy Policy
We collect little, because the service does not need much. This page lists all of it.

1. Who is responsible for your data
Anke LLC is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to privacy@ankelabs.com with any question about it, or to exercise any of the rights set out below.
2. What we collect, and why
| Data | Why we have it | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|
| Account code | Identifies the account. Issued by us; not derived from anything about you. | Until the account is deleted |
| Device identifier | Enforces the device limit on your subscription and lets you see which devices are signed in. | Until the device is removed or the account is deleted |
| Subscription and payment records | Provides the service you paid for, issues receipts, handles refunds and disputes, and satisfies tax and accounting rules. | As required by law, typically seven years |
| Payment method token, card brand, last four digits | Lets you recognise and manage your saved payment method. We never receive the card number. | Until you remove the method or the account is deleted |
| Usage counters | Shows you your own consumption and enforces plan limits. Aggregate totals only. | Life of the account |
| Support messages | Answers your question and keeps a record of what was agreed. | While the matter is open, and a limited period after |
| Server logs, including IP address | Keeps the service running and secure, and detects abuse. | A short operational period, then deleted |
| Approximate country from IP address | Shows prices in the right currency and offers the payment methods available where you are. | Not stored; derived at the moment of the request |
We do not ask for your name, postal address, date of birth or government identifiers, because we do not need them to provide the service.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data, and we never have.
- We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not build advertising profiles or run third-party advertising trackers on this website.
- We do not require an email address or a social login to use the product.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract for the data needed to give you the service you bought; legal obligation for tax, accounting and lawful requests; and legitimate interests for keeping the service secure and preventing fraud, having weighed those interests against your rights.
5. Who we share data with
Only with the parties that make the service work, and only with what they need:
- Payment processors and app stores — to take payment, issue refunds and answer disputes. They act as controllers of the card data they collect from you directly.
- Infrastructure providers — the companies that host our servers.
- Authorities — where we receive a properly issued, legally binding request, and only what that request covers.
We do not have any other categories of recipient.
6. International transfers
Our infrastructure is located in several countries in Europe and North America. Where personal data moves between them, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where they apply.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to someone else. Write to privacy@ankelabs.com. We answer within one month, and we do not charge for it.
Because an account is identified only by its account code, we verify a request by asking you to prove control of that code. We cannot act on a request from someone who cannot do that — that protection exists for you.
You may also delete your account yourself, from inside the application, at any time.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may complain to your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the CCPA as amended, including the right to know and the right to delete; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.
8. Children
Our service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to privacy@ankelabs.com and we will delete it.
9. Cookies and similar technology
This website uses no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers, and sets no cookies for those purposes. The customer area stores a small amount of data in your browser — your account code, your chosen language and an unfinished payment — so that the page works when you return. That data stays in your browser and is removed when you sign out.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will publish the new version here with the date it took effect, and where the change is material we will tell customers before it applies.
